The Story of Tracy Beaker is an English drama series. The series follows the lives of children living in a children's care home, and revolves around Tracy Beaker's life - a bossy, energetic child on her mission to be fostered.

The series is adapted from the book of the same name, written by Jacqueline Wilson in 1991.

The first episode, "Tracy Returns to the Dumping Ground" aired on January 8, 2002 on CBBC. The series was renewed for a second series, which began airing in January 2003. Nine months later, a third series began airing. With a fourth series airing a year later, the fifth and final series aired a year after the fourth in late 2005.

A spin-off show to The Story of Tracy Beaker called Tracy Beaker Returns was made to show Tracy's adult life after leaving Elm Tree House. The show had three series, which aired on CBBC from 2010 to 2012.

Another spin-off, named The Dumping Ground, was created, showing the care home after Tracy's departure and purely following the children's life at the care home. The show has 7 series so far, which aired on CBBC.
